Library of the Convent of Santo Domingo

I believe the large book was put on a tall lectern and used for singing during prayers.

I'm not too dissatisfied with the rendering of the photo, from the shadows to the highlights (light from the three windows at the back, and its reflection on the floor and desk). Sure enough, the photo is grainy (1600 ISO) and not sharp, but it's the best I could do, using manual settings: I forced a shutter speed of 1/10th of a second – the camera would have otherwise selected a slower speed which would have made everything blurry – and an aperture of f/4 to capture as much light as possible with the (18-55mm) wide-angle lens I used.
